Rear Abs Wheel-Speed Sensor Removal/Installation (AWD): Notes
- Switch the ignition ON (engine off).
- Release the electric parking brake.
- Switch the ignition off.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Trunk covering (See TRUNK COVERING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Trunk side pocket (See TRUNK SIDE POCKET REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the rear ABS wheel-speed sensor connector.
- Press the grommet tabs in the direction of arrows above (1) shown in the figure above and detach them from the vehicle body.
- Press the grommet in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure above and press out the rear ABS wheel-speed sensor toward the outside of the vehicle.
- Remove the wheel and tire. (See WHEEL AND TIRE ROTATION .)
- Remove in the order indicated in the table.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- After installation, verify that there is no twisting in the rear ABS wheel-speed sensor.
