ECT Sensor No. 1

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Drain the engine coolant. (See Engine Coolant Replacement .)
  3. Remove the following parts:
    1. Plug hole plate (See Plug Hole Plate Removal/Installation .)
    2. Battery (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Air inlet pipe (See Intake-Air System Removal/Installation .)
  4. Disconnect the ECT sensor No. 1 connector.
  5. Remove the ECT sensor No. 1 using the SST.

  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  7. Refill the engine coolant. (See Engine Coolant Replacement .)
