CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATES [SKYACTIV-G] DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

Troubleshooting item	Check engine light illuminates
Description	Check engine light illuminates incorrectly. NOTE: If there is a malfunction in the engine system, the PCM stores a DTC and illuminates the check engine light.
Possible cause	Emission system malfunction (DTC is stored in PCM) Short or open circuit in PCM CAN communication line Short or open circuit in instrument cluster CAN communication line Short or open circuit in climate control unit CAN communication line Instrument cluster malfunction
