Resistance Inspection
NOTE:
- The engine oil pressure sensor and engine oil temperature sensor cannot be removed as a single unit. When replacing the engine oil temperature sensor, replace the engine oil pressure sensor/engine oil temperature sensor.
- Turn the steering wheel to full right lock.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See REQUIRED PROCEDURE AFTER NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Lift up the vehicle.
- Remove the front splash shield (RH). (See FRONT SPLASH SHIELD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the engine oil pressure sensor/engine oil temperature sensor connector. (See ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR/ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Measure the resistance between engine oil pressure sensor/engine oil temperature sensor terminals E and C.
- If not as specified, replace the engine oil pressure sensor/engine oil temperature sensor. (See ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR/ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
