Engine Oil Level Sensor Removal/Installation
CAUTION:
- If the engine oil level sensor is removed, it is necessary to replace it with a new one.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Lift up the vehicle.
- Remove the front under cover No. 2. (See FRONT UNDER COVER NO. 2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Drain the engine oil. (See ENGINE OIL REPLACEMENT .)
- Disconnect the engine oil level sensor connector.
- Remove the clip A and clip B from the bracket.
- Disconnect the short cord connector.
- Remove the short cord.
- Remove the nuts.
- Remove the engine oil level sensor.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Refill with the specified type and amount of the engine oil. (See ENGINE OIL REPLACEMENT .)
- Start the engine and confirm that there is no oil leakage.
- If there is oil leakage, repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the inspection results.
- Inspect the engine oil level. (See ENGINE OIL LEVEL INSPECTION .)
