Liftgate Opener Switch Removal/Installation

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION (US) .)
2. Remove the following parts.
   1. Liftgate upper trim (See LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
   2. Liftgate side trim (See LIFTGATE SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
   3. Liftgate recess (See LIFTGATE RECESS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
   4. Door lock switch (liftgate) (with door lock switch (liftgate)) (See DOOR LOCK SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
   5. Liftgate lower trim (See LIFTGATE LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
3. Disconnect the connector.

4. Remove the nuts.

5. While pressing the cover tab in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, pull the cover in the direction of arrow (2), and then remove the cover from the rear center brand emblem base.

6. Remove the nuts.

7. Remove the rear center brand emblem base component.

8. Remove the screws.

9. Detach the liftgate opener switch wiring harness from the hook as shown in the figure.

10. Move rear center brand emblem base No. 2 in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach the rear center brand emblem base No. 1 hook from rear center brand emblem base No. 2.

11. Remove rear center brand emblem base No. 2.
12. Remove the liftgate opener switch.

13. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Replacement Part
