Front Power Window Regulator Removal/Installation: Notes
NOTE:
- The front power window motor is integrated with the front power window regulator.
- Perform the front door glass preparation. (See FRONT DOOR GLASS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION (US) .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Front door speaker grille (See SPEAKER GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Inner garnish (See INNER GARNISH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Power window main switch (to remove from driver's side) (See POWER WINDOW MAIN SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Power window sub switch (front) (to remove from passenger's side) (See POWER WINDOW SUB SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front door trim (See FRONT DOOR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
- Front inner handle (See INNER HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front door glass (See FRONT DOOR GLASS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the connector.
- Remove service hole covers No. 3.
- Remove the bolts.
- Remove the nuts shown in the figure in the order of (1) and (2).
- Insert a hand from the service hole cover No. 1 installation hole and remove the front power window motor from the front door panel.
- Remove the front power window regulator through the service hole cover No. 2 installation hole.CAUTION:
- When removing the front power window regulator, the front power window regulator may contact the service hole cover No. 2 installation hole, and the coating film of the front door inner panel and the front power window regulator could be damaged. Remove the front power window regulator while verifying that the front power window regulator and the service hole cover No. 2 installation hole do not contact each other.
- Install in the reverse order of removal. (See FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR INSTALLATION NOTE .)
- Perform the power window system initialization procedure. (with auto open/auto close function) (See POWER WINDOW SYSTEM INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE .)
