Front Wiring Harness Protector Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0] .)
  3. Remove the battery and the battery tray. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0] .)
  4. While pressing the clip tabs of front wiring harness protector in the direction of the arrows (1) shown in the figure, pull the clip of front wiring harness protector in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure to detach the clip tabs of front wiring harness protector from the engine mount.

  5. Pull out the clip from the engine mount.
  6. Pull out the cap of front wiring harness protector in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure.

  7. Pull out the front wiring harness protector from the stud bolt.
  8. While pressing the clip tabs in the direction of the arrows (1) shown in the figure, push out the clip in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure to detach the clip tabs from the front wiring harness protector.

  9. Pull out the clips from the front wiring harness protector.
  10. Cut the bands.
  11. Remove the tapes.
  12. While lifting up the hook using a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver, pull the tab in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure to detach the tab from the hook.

  13. Detach all the tabs from the hooks.
  14. Remove the front wiring harness protector.
  15. Install in the reverse order of removal.
