PID/DATA Monitor Inspection

  1. Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
  2. Switch the ignition ON (engine off).
  3. Display PIDs ENG_COOL_VLV_POS_COMD and ENG_COOL_VLV_POS_ACT using the M-MDS. (See PID/DATA MONITOR INSPECTION .)
  4. When the engine is started after switching the ignition ON (engine off), verify that the PID ENG_COOL_VLV_POS_ACT value conforms to the PID ENG_COOL_VLV_POS_COMD value.
