Generator Removal/Installation: Notes
WARNING:
- Remove and install all parts when the engine is cold, Otherwise they can cause severe burns or serious injury.
- When the battery cables are connected, touching the vehicle body with generator terminal B will generate sparks. This can cause personal injury, fire, and damage to the electrical components.
Always disconnect the negative battery terminal before performing the following operation.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the front under cover No. 2. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No. 2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the front splash shield (RH). (See FRONT SPLASH SHIELD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the generator drive belt. (See DRIVE BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the drive belt auto tensioner. (See DRIVE BELT AUTO TENSIONER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the plug hole plate. (See PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove in the order indicated in the table.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.PART DESCRIPTION
