Visual inspection
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the plug hole plate. (See PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the exhaust gas pressure sensor connector.
- Remove the exhaust gas pressure sensor. (See EXHAUST GAS PRESSURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Visually inspect the exhaust gas pressure sensor for the following malfunction:
- Damage, cracks, dirt
- If there is any malfunction, repair or replace the exhaust gas pressure sensor. (See EXHAUST GAS PRESSURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
