Auto-Dimming Rearview Mirror Removal/Installation: Notes

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(US)] .)
  2. Remove the sensor cover. (See SENSOR COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Disconnect the auto-dimming rearview mirror connector.

  4. Remove the wiring harness clip.
    CAUTION:
    • Detach the auto-dimming rearview mirror from the mirror base while holding the auto-dimming rearview mirror by hand. Otherwise, the auto-dimming rearview mirror may fall off and be damaged.
  5. Move the auto-dimming rearview mirror in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach the auto-dimming rearview mirror from the mirror base.

  6. Remove the auto-dimming rearview mirror. (See Auto-Dimming Rearview Mirror Installation Note .)
  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
