PID/Data Monitor Inspection

  1. Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
  2. Switch the ignition ON (engine off).
  3. Display PCM PIDs [ENG_COOL_VLV_POS_COMD] and [ENG_COOL_VLV_POS_ACT] using the M-MDS. (See PID/DATA MONITOR INSPECTION .)
  4. When the engine is started after switching the ignition ON (engine off), verify that the PID [ENG_COOL_VLV_POS_ACT] value conforms to the PID [ENG_COOL_VLV_POS_COMD] value.
