Connector Inspection

CAUTION: For Mazda M Hybrid vehicles only 
  • Disconnect the ground plate when servicing the following Mazda M Hybrid related parts. Otherwise, they could be damaged. (See GROUND PLATE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
    • Integrated starter generator (ISG)
    • Mazda M Hybrid battery
    • DC-DC converter (Mazda M Hybrid)
    • Seat warmer control unit (with Mazda M Hybrid, seat warmer system, and without position memory system)
    • Position memory control module (with Mazda M Hybrid and position memory system)
    • Front seat (driver's side) (with Mazda M Hybrid and seat warmer system)
  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(US)] .)
  2. Disconnect the ground plate. (For servicing Mazda M Hybrid related parts) (See GROUND PLATE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  3. Disconnect the applicable connector.
    NOTE:
    • For the connector disconnection procedure, refer to the removal/installation procedure for each part.
  4. Inspect the applicable connector for the following: (See ELECTRICAL SYSTEM [(US)] .)
    • Connector engagement and connection condition
    • Damage, deformation, corrosion, or disconnection of terminal
      • If there is any malfunction, repair or replace the malfunctioning location.
