Simulation Inspection: Notes

Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
Perform the following procedure using the M-MDS.
1. Press [Start] for the vehicle identification.
2. Press the [Toolbox] tab.
3. Press the [Diagnosis] icon.
4. Press [Run] for Data Logger.
Select the applicable module according to the module table. (See Module Table .)
Select the applicable simulation item.
NOTE:
- The simulation function can only be implemented on items displaying the following icon.

Inspect the operation of each part according to the directions on the screen.
NOTE:
- If the operation of the output part cannot be verified as a result of implementing the simulation function, an open/short circuit, sticking, or operation malfunction with the output part can be considered.
