Body Control Module (BCM) Bracket Removal/Installation (Us)

WARNING:

Handling the air bag module improperly can accidentally deploy the air bag module, which may seriously injure you. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION (US) .)
Remove the following parts:
1. Front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
2. Front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
3. Passenger-side decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
4. Driver-side decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
5. Hood release lever (See HOOD RELEASE LEVER AND RELEASE CABLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
6. Driver-side lower panel (See LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
7. Driver-side knee air bag module (See KNEE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM - US/CANADA SPEC.] .)
8. Shift lever knob (MTX) (See SHIFT LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [C66M-R] .)
9. Selector lever knob (ATX) (See SELECTOR LEVER COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
10. Shift panel (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)

While pressing the fuse block tab in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, move the fuse block in the direction of arrow (2) and detach the fuse block tab from the body control module (BCM) bracket.

Remove the clips A and B.
Remove the bolts.

Move the body control module (BCM) bracket in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach the body control module (BCM) bracket hook from the body.
Remove the body control module (BCM) bracket.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
