With EGR cooler

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(US)] .)
  2. Remove the main silencer. (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Remove the insulator (rear). (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Disconnect the quick release connector shown in the figure while lowering the charcoal canister (main) component. (See QUICK RELEASE CONNECTOR (EMISSION SYSTEM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)

  5. Temporarily install the charcoal canister (main) bracket.
  6. Remove in the order indicated in the table.

  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
