ECT Sensor

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT .)
  3. Lift up the vehicle.
  4. Remove the front under cover No. 1 and the front under cover No. 2. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No. 1 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .) (See FRONT UNDER COVER No. 2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  5. Disconnect the ECT sensor connector.
  6. Remove the ECT sensor using the SST.

  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  8. Refill the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT .)
