Rear Door Glass Run-Channel Removal/Installation: 4SD: Notes

WARNING:
- Using a utility knife with bare hands can cause injury. Always wear gloves when using a utility knife.
- Fully lower the rear door glass.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Power window subswitch (rear) (See POWER WINDOW SUBSWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Rear door trim (See REAR DOOR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Rear inner handle (See INNER HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Rear door quarter glass (See REAR DOOR QUARTER GLASS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Rear beltline molding (See REAR BELTLINE MOLDING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Rear door garnish (See REAR DOOR GARNISH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Connect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Connect the power window subswitch connector.
- Perform the rear door glass preparation. (See REAR DOOR GLASS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the rear door glass. (See REAR DOOR GLASS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Disconnect the power window subswitch connector.
- Remove the double-sided adhesive tape in the position shown in the figure below using the utility knife.
- Remove the fastener.
- Using a remover tool, detach the clips.
- Partially peel back the rear door glass run-channel.
- Move the rear door glass run-channel in the order of arrows (1), (2), and (3) shown in the figure below and remove it from the rear door hooks.
- Remove the rear door glass run-channel.
- Install in the reverse order of removal. (See REAR DOOR GLASS RUN-CHANNEL INSTALLATION NOTE .)
