Function inspection

  1. Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
  2. Switch the ignition ON (engine off).
  3. Display the PCM PID [ECT_VOLT] and [ECT]. (Refer to [PID/DATA MONITOR INSPECTION ] in the troubleshooting information.) (Refer to [PID/DATA MONITOR TABLE [PCM (SKYACTIV-G 2.5T)] ] in the troubleshooting information.)
  4. Compare the voltage indications for PCM PID [ECT_VOLT and the temperature indications for PID [ECT] with the standards in the table indicated below.
    • If they do not match the standard, replace the PCM. (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T] .)
    • If they match the standard, perform the resistance inspection. (See RESISTANCE INSPECTION .)
