ECT Sensor No. 2

Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
Remove the front under cover No. 1 and the front under cover No. 2. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No. 1 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .) (See FRONT UNDER COVER No. 2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T] .)
Disconnect the ECT sensor No. 2 connector.
Disconnect the hoses shown in the figure below.

Remove the bolts shown in the figure below and remove the water pipe. (See COOLING FAN MOTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T] .)

CAUTION:
- If the vise is tightened with excessive force, it could deform or damage the water pipe. When securing the water pipe in a vise, be careful not to deform or damage the water pipe.
Secure the water pipe in a vise.

Remove ECT sensor No. 2 using the SST with the water pipe secured using a wrench.

Install in the reverse order of removal.
Refill the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T] .)
