Reading Operation Records Of FSC: Functions

*1: The cause of the forward sensing camera (FSC) to stop operating can be verified using the Mazda Modular Diagnostic System (M-MDS) as indicated in the following table. The causes are (1) an environmental factor and (2) a vehicle malfunction. In case of (1) an environmental factor, there is no problem with the forward sensing camera (FSC). In case of (2) a vehicle malfunction, perform a DTC inspection, as it is possible that there is a malfunction with the forward sensing camera (FSC).

(1) Two of the causes which stop the forward sensing camera (FSC) from operating are always displayed using the Mazda Modular Diagnostic System (M-MDS). If there is one cause, [No Inhibition] is selected.

(2) The contents of the causes which stop the forward sensing camera (FSC) from operating are as follows.
  1. Light is blocked by dirty windshield (such as adhesion of leaves or mud)
  2. Vehicle is subjected to strong light from the vehicle front, light reflected multidirectionally on the forward sensing camera (FSC) lens surface is recognized as a foreign object or light reflects on the forward sensing camera (FSC) lens surface and white haze is recognized as a foreign object.
  3. Windshield/forward sensing camera (FSC) is dirty or screen image is distorted by occurrence of condensation (water droplets)
