Vacuum Control

Connect vacuum tester (116 589 25 21 00) with "Y" fitting to EGR valve. Read vacuum values at the following engine speeds: At 700-2600 RPM reading should be approx. 7.5-10 in. Hg vacuum. From 2600-3000 RPM reading should be approx. 1.5-2.0 in Hg vacuum. If vacuum value is OK, go to next test. If vacuum value is not OK, check individual component test.
