PREGLOW Time Relay

The preglow time relay, containing a 80-amp fuse inside, is located in the engine compartment on the left side. With removal of a protection cap and electric connections, the fuse is accessible.

The relay ambient temperature is picked up by way of a Negative Temperature Coeffieient-resistor (NTC) in preglow time relay. Relay functions include switching of glow current, indicator light, safety shutoff and fault indicator.
