Vacuum Amplifier
- Connect Vacuum Tester (116 589 25 21 00) with "Y" fitting to connection "A" and read vacuum value at idle speed. Value for manual transmission is approximately 9 in. vacuum. Value for automatic transmission is approximately 10 in. vacuum.
- If vacuum is above or below specified value, adjust vacuum. To adjust vacuum, pull off dust cap from vacuum amplifier and turn adjusting screw with a 4 mm socket wrench until specified value is obtained. If vacuum value is not okay, go to step 3).
- Check supply vacuum at connection "B". See Fig 1 . Replace vacuum amplifier, if necessary. Check vacuum lines.
