Reference Impulse Verification (Riv)
Measuring the association of injection pump in relation to engine requires 2 signals. The top dead center (TDC) impulse from crankshaft and a regulating impulse from the injection pump.
Both impulses are supplied by impulse transmitters. To obtain a measuring signal, the sensor pins must be moved past the impulse transmitters at a minimum speed (idle speed). A measuring instrument measures the time distance between 2 impulses and converts the result into an angle value, which is then indicated.
