Vacuum Control

  1. Connect vacuum tester with "Y" fitting to EGR valve. Check vacuum values and position of vacuum control flap. Vacuum values should be zero in. Hg at 700 RPM when vacuum control flap is not activated.
  2. With vacuum control flap fully activated, vacuum values should be (8-12 in. Hg at 1200 RPM). If test is not okay, check vacuum supply and individual components. If test is okay, test is complete.
