Electronic Control Unit (Ecu)
The ECU is located on the passenger's side of vehicle, behind the right kick panel. With the ignition switch in the "ON" position, the ECU receives battery voltage.
Input signals are received from coolant temperature sensor, engine RPM sensor, fuel rack position sensor and barometric air pressure sensor. All input signals are processed and used to activate the vacuum converter or switchover valve. An evacuated, sealed capsule is located inside of the ECU sensing pressure differences at varying altitudes.
