Coolant Temperature Sensor

The coolant temperature sensor is located on the cylinder head. On Federal models, sensor has a 2-pin connector, one for Electronic Ignition System (EZL) and one for the CIS-E injection system. On California models, sensor has 4-pin connector, 2 for ground connections (CIS-E control unit and engine ground) and one connection each for the temperature signals to the CIS-E control unit and the EZL module.
