Fuel Pump Relay

The fuel pump relay on 560SL models is located behind the glove compartment. For 420 and all other 560 series, the relay is located on the left rear side of the engine compartment, on the relay panel. For 190E, 260E and 300 series, the fuel pump relay is located in the engine compartment on the right rear firewall.

The fuel pump relay also controls: cold start valve activation, RPM limitation and kick-down shutoff.
