Code 7, TD-Signal

  1. With engine at operating temperature and at idle, CIS-E control unit connected, connect voltmeter negative lead to socket No. 2 and positive lead to No. 25 of socket box. Voltmeter reading should be between 6-12 volts. If not, check wiring or replace ignition control module.
  2. Turn ignition "OFF". Unplug TD-sensor at ignition control module. Connect ohmmeter between socket No. 2 on socket box and pin one on diagnostic socket, located on left fenderwell. Resistance should be less than one ohm. If not, check for open circuit.
  3. Connect ohmmeter between TD-sensor terminal and pin one on diagnostic socket. Resistance should be less than one ohm. If not, check for open circuit.
