Code 8, Altitude Correction Capsule
- With ignition on and CIS-E control unit connected, connect voltmeter negative lead to socket No. 7 and positive lead to socket No. 18 of socket box. Voltage should be between 4.6-5.1 volts. If not check or replace altitude correction capsule, airflow sensor position indicator (see Code 4), CIS-E control unit or wiring harness.
- Connect voltmeter negative lead to socket No. 7 and positive lead to socket No. 11 of socket box. Reading should be as indicated in table. See ALTITUDE CORRECTION CAPSULE table. If not, check wiring harness or replace altitude correction capsule.
- Turn ignition "OFF". Unplug airflow sensor position indicator connector. Connect ohmmeter between socket No. 7 and connector terminal No. 3. Connect ohmmeter between socket No. 18 and connector terminal No. 2. Connect ohmmeter between socket No. 11 and connector terminal No. one. All these should have resistance reading of less than one ohm. If not, check for open circuit.
