Full Load Contact Test

  1. Disconnect plug of throttle valve switch. Measure resistance between terminal Nos. 3 and 2 (full load contact) at idle position. Measurement should be infinity. At full load, full load contact should measure about zero ohms . At partial load, the full load contact should read infinity. If infinity is not indicated, adjust or replace throttle valve switch. If okay, go to next step.
  2. Check continuity of wires from throttle valve switch to CIS-E control unit and to engine ground. Resistance should be about zero ohms. If resistance is not about zero ohms, repair open. If okay, check airflow sensor position indicator.
