Engine oil monitor function - GF00.20-P-2009B

General 

In view of the fact that the oil level indicator switch (S43) is used in this system for detecting the engine oil level, it is only possible to provide a minimum warning.

Engine oil minimum display 

If the oil level drops below the permissible minimum, the oil level warning lamp (A1e12) comes on or the oil can symbol and the readout "OIL LEVEL MIN" appear (only the oil can symbol on models not fitted with multifunction display). The display appears 60 s after engine start once an oil temperature of 60 °C has been reached. It is only possible to acknowledge the display on the instrument cluster fitted with multifunction display.

Oil change 

ASSYST has to be reset each time the oil is changed.

ASSYST can be reset using the instrument cluster or with the HHT. The following data are stored when the system is reset:
