Self-Diagnostic System

Connect Hand-Held Tester (965 589 00 01 00) to data link connector. Following manufacturer's instructions, retrieve codes from PSE control module. Record DTCs and go to appropriate test procedure. See DTC IDENTIFICATION CHART (PNEUMATIC SYSTEM EQUIPMENT CONTROL MODULE) table.

012 Driver's Door Safety Switch Time Exceeded (1)
013 Fuel Door Safety Switch Time Exceeded (2)
014 Passenger's Door Safety Switch Time Exceeded (3)
(1) Perform pneumatic system vacuum TEST 1 and TEST 2. See PNEUMATIC SYSTEM EQUIPMENT under VACUUM SYSTEM TESTS . Also, perform central locking vacuum TEST 1 and TEST 2. See CENTRAL LOCKING under VACUUM SYSTEM TESTS .
(2) Perform pneumatic system vacuum TEST 7 and TEST 8. See PNEUMATIC SYSTEM EQUIPMENT under VACUUM SYSTEM TESTS . Also, perform central locking vacuum TEST 1 and TEST 2. See CENTRAL LOCKING under VACUUM SYSTEM TESTS .
(3) Perform pneumatic system vacuum TEST 3 and TEST 4. See PNEUMATIC SYSTEM EQUIPMENT under VACUUM SYSTEM TESTS . Also, perform central locking vacuum TEST 1 and TEST 2. See CENTRAL LOCKING under VACUUM SYSTEM TESTS .

(1) Perform central locking vacuum TEST 1, TEST 2, TEST 3 and TEST 4. See CENTRAL LOCKING under VACUUM SYSTEM TESTS .
(2) Perform retractable trunk lid grip vacuum TEST 1 and TEST 2. See RETRACTABLE TRUNK LID GRIP under VACUUM SYSTEM TESTS .
(3) Perform remote trunk release vacuum TEST 1. See REMOTE TRUNK RELEASE under VACUUM SYSTEM TESTS . Also, perform retractable rear headrest vacuum TEST 1. (5) Perform keyless entry trouble shooting. See TROUBLE SHOOTING in KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEMS article.
(6) Perform retractable rear headrest system TEST 1. See RETRACTABLE REAR HEADREST under SYSTEM TESTS .
(7) Perform central locking system TEST 2. See CENTRAL LOCKING under SYSTEM TESTS .
(8) Perform pneumatic system TEST 3. See PNEUMATIC SYSTEM EQUIPMENT (PSE) under SYSTEM TESTS .
(9) Perform remote trunk release system TEST 1. See REMOTE TRUNK RELEASE under SYSTEM TESTS .
(10) Perform remote trunk release system TEST 2. See REMOTE TRUNK RELEASE under SYSTEM TESTS .
