Test 15: Rear Axle VSS Sensor Internal/Insulation Resistance Abs Only)

  1. Using Adapter (202 589 03 63 00), connect Breakout Box (129 589 00 21 00) to traction control module. See Figure, Figure or Figure. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect traction control module, leaving wiring harness connected to breakout box. Check resistance between terminals No. 12 and 13 at breakout box. 600-1800 ohms should exist. If resistance is not as specified, check wiring. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If wiring is okay, replace rear axle VSS sensor. If resistance is within specifications, go to next step.
  2. Check resistance between terminals No. 13 and 57 at breakout box. Greater than 20 k/ohms should exist. If resistance is not as specified, check wiring. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
