Steering Angle Sensor
Steering angle sensor, located in upper section of contact spiral, consisting of a digital sensor with 9 equally spaced light emitting diodes, 2 microcomputers with a signal measuring ring. A defined center position of steering is recorded by the steering angle sensor. Steering wheel position is calculated and position is sent to control modules connected. Steering angle sensor must be re-initialized after voltage is interrupted. To initialize steering angle sensor, turn ignition switch to RUN position, then turn steering wheel from lock to lock.
