Test 11: Wiper Switch Intermittent Circuit

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1996 Mercedes-Benz E320 and 1996 Mercedes-Benz E300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Using Harness Adapter (210 589 01 63 00), connect Breakout Box (129 589 00 21 00) to combination control module. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Set combination switch to interval wipe position. Measure voltage between terminals No. 2 and 42 at breakout box. If voltage pulses between zero and battery voltage, wiper switch intermittent circuit is okay at this time. If voltage does not pulses between zero and battery voltage, perform TEST 9 . If no problem is found when performing TEST 9, replace combination control module.
