Fuel tank location/design/function - GF47.10-P-3000GH

  Fuel tank position The fuel tank (80) is attached on the left ahead of the rear axle between propshaft and frame by means of tensioning straps.  
  Fuel tank design The fuel tank (80) is manufactured from a gas-tight plastic. A valve with vent line (76/1) is positioned at the highest point. The activated charcoal canister (77) is positioned at the side, as of 7/01: Volume enlarged to 83 liters  
  Fuel tank function The fuel is drawn out of the fuel tank through a fuel strainer by the fuel delivery module (80/17). The fuel from the return flow line flows back into the fuel delivery module. The valve (rollover) prevents fuel flowing out along the vent line in the event of an accident or rollover.
