Heated seats (HS), function - GF91.30-P-0003GH

MODEL 163 up to 30.11.99 with CODE (873) Left and right front heated seats

Function prerequisites

General

The heated seat has two heating stages.

Heating stage I "normal heating" and heating stage II "quick heat-up".

The all-activity module (N10)  controls the switch-on time for the heated seats by means of two timer elements.

Upon recognition that the heated seat switch is actuated the associated timer element actuates the heated seat relay, stage I (K59)  and/or heated seat relay, stage II (K59/1)  switching power to the heating elements connected to circuit 30.

These are then heated by the power flowing through. When heating stage I  is switched on the heater elements R13/1 and R13/2 or R13/3 and R13/4  are connected in series. The heated seat is switched off automatically after expiration of the time t1 = 20 min.

When heating stage II  is switched on the heating elements R13/1  and R13/2  or R13/3  and R13/4  are connected in parallel. After expiration of time t2 = 5 min. the seat is switched back to heating stage I automatically. If the battery voltage is≤ 11 V the heated seats cannot be switched on. If the battery voltage drops to≤ 11 V while the heated seats are switched on, they are switched off automatically.
