When the left front heated seat switch (S51/1)  or right front heated seat switch (S51/2)  is actuated in the switch position for heating stage I, the B12 or B11 signal input of the all-activity module (AAM)(N10)  is connected to ground. The all-activity module (AAM) (N10)  recognizes "Heating stage I actuated".

When the left front heated seat switch (S51/1)  or right front actuated seat switch (S51/2)  is actuated in the switch position for heating stage II, ground is connected through to the B12 or B11 signal input of the all-activity module (AAM) (N10)  via a resistor integrated into the switch - current flows. The voltage present on the resistor is recognized by the all-activity module (AAM) (N10)  as "Heating stage II actuated",
