Parking Lock Interlock

- When ignition switch is turned to "1" position, blocking cam in steering lock releases control cable. See Figure . When brake pedal is operated, locking lever is turned downward, tension spring at brake pedal is tensioned and release lever is released. Force of pressure spring No. 2 overrides lower spring force of pressure spring No. 1 and pulls shift and locking valve in front of blocking cam. Locking pawl turns and lifts off detent plate. Parking lock is now able to be released.
