DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE LIST

DTC Possible Cause Test step/Remedy
- No Fault In System In case of complaint: ESP and SPS, perform entire test. See BRAKE ASSIST (BAS), ELECTRONIC STABILITY PROGRAM (ESP) & SPEED SENSITIVE POWER STEERING (SPS) ELECTRICAL TESTS PROGRAM (SECTION 23) .
C 1000 ESP/SPS Control Module (N47-5)
When replacing any components, perform CONTROL MODULE ADAPTATION under PROGRAMMING.
Replace N47-5
C 1003 ESP/SPS Control Module (N47-5) BAS Processor Faulty
When replacing any components, perform CONTROL MODULE ADAPTATION under PROGRAMMING.
Replace N47-5
C 1010 Battery Voltage Too Low Circuit 87 Step 1, see Test Step 1.0-5.0
C 1011 Solenoid Valve Voltage Supply Open/Short Circuit Steps 2 and 17, see Test Step 1.0-5.0 and Test Step 13.1-18.0
C 1012 Battery Voltage Too High Circuit 87 Step 1, see Test Step 1.0-5.0
C 1020 CAN Communication Faulty In General Step 36, see Test Step 35.0-36.2
C 1022 CAN Communication With Right Engine Control Module (ME-SFI, N3/12) Interrupted Step 36, see Test Step 35.0-36.2
Read DTC (ME-SFI) memory, Check version coding of ME control Module, using HHT
C 1025 CAN Communication With BAS Control Module (N48) Interrupted
When replacing any components, perform CONTROL MODULE ADAPTATION under PROGRAMMING.
Replace N47-5
C 1100 Left Front Axle VSS Sensor (L6/1) Open Circuit, Loose Contact Or Implausible
Rotor with incorrect tooth count, dirt accumulation on or damage to rotor, incorrect rear axle ratio, wrong wheel or tire size. If DTC appears only after repair work, it may be caused by applying the brakes or driving vehicle on a dynamometer, erase DTC.

C 1101 Right Front Axle VSS Sensor (L6/2) Open Circuit, Loose Contact Or Implausible
Rotor with incorrect tooth count, dirt accumulation on or damage to rotor, incorrect rear axle ratio, wrong wheel or tire size. If DTC appears only after repair work, it may be caused by applying the brakes or driving vehicle on a dynamometer, erase DTC.

C 1102 Left Rear Axle VSS Sensor (L6/3) Open Circuit, Loose Contact Or Implausible
