Left Cylinder Bank ME-SFI Control Module (N3/11)

NOTE: When performing test procedure, make DVOM test connections directly at CAN module or left cylinder bank ME-SFI control module (N3/11) connector.
  1. CAN Data Bus, Left Cylinder Bank ME-SFI Control Module (N3/11) -  Turn ignition off. Connect DVOM between left cylinder bank ME-SFI control module connector 1 terminals No. 60 and 61 (socket box terminals No. 60 and 61). Resistance should be 75-85 ohms. If resistance is within specification, go to next step. If resistance is not within specification, possible cause is Controller Area Network (CAN) failure. Go to next step.
NOTE: Next step refers to Controller Area Network (CAN) module. Vehicle will be equipped with either a Remote Control Locking (RCL) control module (N54) or Drive Authorization System (DAS) control module (N54/1).
  2. CAN Module Resistance -  Turn ignition off. Disconnect Controller Area Network (CAN) module 2-pin connector. Connect DVOM directly to CAN control module terminals. Resistance should be 115-125 ohms. If resistance is within specification, go to next step. If resistance is not within specification, possible cause is CAN module failure. Repair as necessary.
  3. CAN In Left Cylinder Bank ME-SFI Control Module (N3/11) -  Turn ignition off. Connect DVOM between left cylinder bank ME-SFI control module connector 1 terminals No. 60 and 61. Resistance should be 235-245 ohms. If resistance is within specification, test is complete. If resistance is not within specification, possible cause is left cylinder bank ME-SFI control module (N3/11) failure. Repair as necessary.
