Left Cylinder Bank ME-SFI Control Module (N3/11)
NOTE:
When performing test procedure, make DVOM test connections directly at CAN module or left cylinder bank ME-SFI control module (N3/11) connector.
- CAN Data Bus, Left Cylinder Bank ME-SFI Control Module (N3/11) -
Turn ignition off. Connect DVOM between left cylinder bank ME-SFI control module connector 1 terminals No. 60 and 61 (socket box terminals No. 60 and 61). Resistance should be 75-85 ohms. If resistance is within specification, go to next step. If resistance is not within specification, possible cause is Controller Area Network (CAN) failure. Go to next step.NOTE: Next step refers to Controller Area Network (CAN) module. Vehicle will be equipped with either a Remote Control Locking (RCL) control module (N54) or Drive Authorization System (DAS) control module (N54/1).
- CAN Module Resistance - Turn ignition off. Disconnect Controller Area Network (CAN) module 2-pin connector. Connect DVOM directly to CAN control module terminals. Resistance should be 115-125 ohms. If resistance is within specification, go to next step. If resistance is not within specification, possible cause is CAN module failure. Repair as necessary.
- CAN In Left Cylinder Bank ME-SFI Control Module (N3/11) - Turn ignition off. Connect DVOM between left cylinder bank ME-SFI control module connector 1 terminals No. 60 and 61. Resistance should be 235-245 ohms. If resistance is within specification, test is complete. If resistance is not within specification, possible cause is left cylinder bank ME-SFI control module (N3/11) failure. Repair as necessary.
