MODEL 163 up to 30.11.99
The SRS malfunction indicator lamp (A1e15) in the instrument cluster is actuated by a ground signal from the ETR control module with airbag (AB) (N2/2) .
The malfunction indicator lamp (A1e15) is actuated when:
- Circuit 15R is switched on for approx. 5s (system check) or
- Upon recognition of the malfunction in the system or
- Control module coding incorrect or not accomplished (flashes).
When a malfunction is recognized for the first time the ETR control module with airbag (A1e15) first checks if the malfunction is still present for approx. 2.5 s. If so the malfunction indicator lamp (A1e15) is actuated. Simultaneously the malfunction is stored in the DTC memory.
