Charge air pressure sensor, location/task/function - GF07.04-P-5037H
ENGINE 112.960 in MODEL 170.466
ENGINE 112.961 in MODEL 203.065 /265
Illustrated: M112K, rear engine view, suction lines and air cleaner housing removed.
| Charge air pressure sensor position | At charge air cooler (110/2) in the V-angle of the engine, below the throttle valve actuator (M16/6). | ||
| Charge air pressure sensor task | Measuring the boost pressure. The signal (together with the signal for charge air temperature) is used as a measure for the air mass supplied to the engine. The required quantity of fuel for the particular operating points is calculated from this on the basis of a map stored in the control module. | ||
| Charge air pressure sensor function | The function of the charge air pressure sensor (B28/8) is identical to that of the intake manifold pressure sensor (B28) of naturally aspirated engines. The characteristic of the signal voltage for the charge air pressure sensor is adapted to the higher pressure in the compressor: The pressure measuring range amounts to p = 0.2 - 2.5 bar. |
