Task
Recognizing selector lever positions P and N or drive position.
Design/function
The ETC or FTC control module detects the selector lever positions P and N by means of a contact in the transmission, the selector lever position by means of the gear recognition switch and kickdown by means of the kickdown switch. All the information is passed to the engine control module over the CAN databus.
