Component description for the boost pressure sensor - GF07.04-P-6051P

Location 

The boost pressure sensor is located at the right front on the engine downstream of the throttle valve actuator (M16/6).

Task 

The boost pressure sensor detects the boost pressure (absolute pressure) downstream of the throttle valve actuator and sends this information to the CDI control unit (N3/9).

Function 

The charge air pressure distorts a membrane with piezoelements. The resultant voltage is used by the CDI control unit to determine the charge air pressure.
