The CDI control unit (N3/9) receives the message "terminal 15 OFF" via the Controller Area Network bus Class C (engine compartment) (CAN-C) from the EIS [EZS] control unit (N73) (except model 461) or from the ignition/starter switch (S2/1) (model 461). The CDI control unit reacts by actuating the fuel injectors (Y76).
It also de-energizes the quantity control valve (Y94) and pressure regulator valve (Y74). In this way the rail pressure is reduced. The engine stops.
If for model 461 the coolant temperature according to "terminal 15 OFF" lies above 110°C, the engine coolant circulation pump (M45) is actuated by the run-on cooling circulation pump microswitch until the coolant temperature is under 110°C.
