Function requirements 

• Circuit 15R On or corresponding front door open (up to 31.5.07)

The information on whether a front door is open or closed, is transmitted by the left front door contact switch (S17/3) and the right front door contact switch (S17/4) to the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2), which then forwards the data via the Controller Area Network bus Class B (interior) (CAN-B).

Driver seat, function 

The stored positions of the driver seat can be called up via the left front seat adjustment switch group (S91/2).

To this end the corresponding memory switch on the memory button 1, 2, 3 switch (S91/2s14) to the left front seat adjustment switch group (S91/2) is pressed and held down.

The seat adjustment motor group with memory, left (M27) is activated by the driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/1) for as long as the corresponding memory switch on the memory button 1, 2, 3 switch (S91/2s14) is held down or until the position to be set is detected by the position measurement.

At the same time when the stored seat position is called up, the steering column and outside mirrors adopt the relevant stored positions.

Front passenger seat function (with code (242) Electrically adjustable front passenger seat with memory) 

The stored positions of the front passenger seat can be called up via the right front seat adjustment switch group (S92/2).

To this end, press and hold down the corresponding memory button on the memory button 1, 2, 3 switch (S92/2s14) on the right front seat adjustment switch group (S92/2).

The seat adjustment motor group with memory, right (M28) is activated by the front passenger seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/2) for as long as the corresponding memory switch on the memory button 1, 2, 3 switch (S92/2s14) is held down or until the position to be set is detected by the position measurement.
